Research / Patents & Intellectual Property
A portfolio of patented and patent-pending technologies spanning wireless positioning, industrial sensing, material intelligence, environmental monitoring and connected physical systems.
Our intellectual property reflects a continuing effort to solve difficult problems at the intersection of the physical and digital worlds.
02 / Portfolio
Five invention families, organized by their earliest priority and technical domain.
Patent Family 01 / Wireless Positioning
The Invention
The Wireless Positioning Systems family addresses how location and sensor information from wireless tags can be transformed into an interactive representation of a physical environment.
The system combines indoor spatial visualization, wireless tag information, historical movement, sensor information and configurable operational logic within a unified interface.
Instead of presenting localization as isolated coordinates, the invention places physical assets within the context of the environment in which they are operating.
Core Inventive Elements
Localization + Sensing + Spatial Interface + Historical Analysis + Zones + Automation
Tags are represented within a visual floor layout relative to reader-monitored areas.
Tag locations can be visualized as they move through the monitored environment.
A playback interface allows historical tag localization and sensing information to be reviewed over time.
Historical position information can be represented as a path through the physical environment.
The interface can communicate uncertainty associated with a tag's calculated position.
Sensor readings associated with tagged objects can be displayed alongside location information.
Users can define, import, reshape, rename and manage zones within monitored areas.
The system provides configurable workflows based on tags, zones and conditions.
Triggers may respond to defined conditions involving tags, zones, motion, sensor readings or communication behavior.
Workflow actions can include notifications, alerts, emails and changes in displayed tag status.

Patent Family 02 / Material Intelligence

Mining creates a difficult traceability problem because material moves continuously through extraction, transport, stockpiles and processing.
This invention family uses identifiable wireless beacons, readers, controllers, communications and software to associate identity and information with material moving through a mining operation.
The concept extends tracking beyond equipment toward the material itself.
Beacon → Material Identity → Movement → Inventory Visibility
Patent Family 03 / Connected Machines

This invention applies sensing to traditional mechanical exercise equipment.
The system is designed around exercise machines having a frame, a stack of weight plates and guide rods, allowing mechanical machine activity to become electronically observable.
The invention creates a bridge between conventional strength equipment and connected fitness systems.
Mechanical Movement → Embedded Sensing → Usage Detection
Patent Family 04 / Environmental Sensing

An embedded sensing system designed around battery-powered operation, environmental sensors and wireless communication.
The invention reflects an early focus on putting sensing and connectivity directly into the physical environment.
Patent Family 05 / Real-Time Location

This invention addresses real-time localization using timing relationships between signals received by multiple network nodes.
High-speed timing enables differences in signal arrival to be measured and used to estimate the position of a transmitting asset.
Signal → Timing Difference → Spatial Estimate
